Project Description
Craigieburn Pedestrian Crossing Upgrade Project aimed to improve safety and accessibility for passengers at the Craigieburn Pedestrian Crossing. As part of the project the pedestrian crossing was upgraded to DDA standards, with new signalling equipment supporting the project aim.
Our Scope
JBE as the Principle Contractor was responsible for delivering the CSR, Signalling Construction and Testing & Commissioning scope of the project.
Principle Contractor requirements for the duration of the project:
Site safety management for all subcontractors and third parties.
Occupation management.
Environmental and sustainability requirements.
CSR & Signalling Construction:
Installation of new electro magnetic escape gate latches.
Modification of crib fencing to improve safety and scooter mobility.
Separation of ARTC and MTM signalling assets that were shared in one location case.
Construction of new Combined Services Route for all new cables.
Installation of new single width signalling location case.
Installation of multicore and power cabling to all new assets.
Pre-wiring and interface wiring prior to commissioning.
Testing and Commissioning delivery:
Strategy development to minimise risk during commissioning event.
Pre-testing of new signalling equipment.
Overall Testing and Commissioning event management.
